Our Purpose as Friends of MK Nature Center
Our Mission
The Friends of MK Nature Center (FOMKNC) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, initiated in 2015. Our mission is to raise funds to support and enhance the work of MK Nature Center—its educational programming, staffing, facilities, service and outreach to the community. Our aim is to further the MK Nature Center's goal of getting children and families outside to enjoy, appreciate, learn about, and care for Idaho's wildlife and wild habitats.
What’s Next for the Friends?
In 2025, we’re excited to enhance the MK Nature Center experience by supporting the creation of an outdoor learning space, installing an interactive sensory station in the pollinator garden, and so much more. These additions will invite visitors of all ages to engage more deeply with nature through hands-on exploration, touch, scent, and sound. Your support helps transform these ideas into lasting educational tools that inspire curiosity and connection with the natural world.
